Re: lupron may be toxicFrom: Anonymo (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Jan 18 14:20:53 2003
Kristy, How do you know it's the only thing left for her to try? This is the problem. I hear of doctors telling women Lupron is the only thing to try when they haven't tried anything else, or when they haven't even been diagnosed. This does not make it true. There are many other options than Lupron. I am very concerned about the prevalence of doctors not telling women about the other options. All I want is for women to be EDUCATED. They cannot make educated decisions about their health, decisions that will change their life. What I consider unfair is when people are not told there are other options than Lupron. But also, I don't know who told her not to consider it at all, but it wasn't me. Lupron should be a last resort. As another wise poster said, Lupron is not going anywhere -- it will always be there after you exhaust your other safer options.
