LOL.

TAP Pharmacueticals is the manufacturer of Lupron. They are very unethical, in my opinion, and are the defendant in numerous lawsuits for this.

The FDA in 2001, after vigorous lobbying by TAP, did approve Lupron for a second 6-month retreatment, IF a bone density loss test was done first, AND add-back therapy of Aygestin was used.

Also, unfortunately, much to my dismay, I HAVE heard of Lupron being used for years in some cases, and more and more often now. Once the FDA has approved something for a particular use, the only limitation is on the manufacturer of the drug, who is forbidden to advertise it for other uses. But doctors can still prescribe it for pretty much any use they want, and the manufacturer (TAP) just works behind the scenes to fund studies and incentives and campaigns to get the doctors to prescribe it for other uses.

This is the unfortunate reality of medicine in America today.
