Lori, Your message broke my heart because I know how it feels to be so desperate to get rid of the pain. It is so hard to think of living life when the pain is so severe. I don't have any quick and easy answers for you, but wanted to let you know that you are not alone. Someone else posted that perhaps you are allergic to birth control pills? That may be a possibility if many different types make you sick. I personally have no problem taking them (I take low ogestrol too, which is the generic for Lo-Ovral) but my own mother, as well as a few close friends could never take the pill because of the nausea etc. Do you have any pain meds? Or if not, would your Doc prescribe some to help alleviate the pain? If not, Ibuprofen might help. I have an actual prescription for 800mg Ibuprofen, which really helps take the edge off my pain. I don't tolerate hard core pain meds too well, so that is really my only option. You can get the same effect by taking four Advil. Also, maybe a hot bath to relax you and some time laying on the heating pad would help. I find these things to help somewhat when the pain is at it's worse. Sorry I don't have any great, earth-shattering answers, but I hope it helps you to know that many women out there suffer with this disease too. The best medicine I have found is the support of other women like me. Doesn't make the pain go away but sure helps my mental state! Feel free to email me any time you need a friend.

God Bless and lots of hugs!!! Amy Meyer
