Autism, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, and EndometriosisFrom: Christina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jan 2 22:18:18 2003
Hello, Has anyone out there had any children or know of any women with endometriosis who have had children who develop autism, multiple sclerosis, or lupus? Have any of those women developed MS or lupus themselves?? --or perhaps even have autism or some kind of auditory or sensory integration problem? I am very interested in all these topics and am trying to see how much they are interrelated to each other. I am finding very many similarities among them--in allergies, food sensitivities, recommended diets for each---all very similar. Is it the endo gene (which is also the breast cancer gene!) the same one for autism, for example; or if not, is it a group of weird genes working together that we endo women have that one may cause endo with breast cancer, but another endo w/ autism in offspring, for example? Is it just different parts of the same gene that have been read and one part of it said both endo and breast cancer? Could lupus, MS, or autism or other sensory/auditory integration problems be read with endo on another part of the same gene?
>From what I've read so far in books and online, it also sounds like it A little bit of info.: Last week my son (who will be 3 years old in Feb. 2003) was diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder. I have endo.. Every woman on my mother's side (maternal Gma, her first daughter from her first marriage, her second daughter from her second marriage, and then my mother, all have had breast cancer. In addition, both my sister and myself have endo and fibrocyctic breasts. Please share any findings you may have. Thanks a bunch! Christina merry_85282@yahoo.com
