I was looking at road racing or running road races(I do 5K's to 1/2's and full marathons). The weights I thought would have to go slowly, but not 2.5 months. I'll remember what you said, thanks.

Victoria -- I think it depends on what kind of exercise you choose. I was in the pool about 3 weeks post-lap and it felt great. I tried going to the gym for light weight lifting and cycling, but that wasn't good for me. I felt horrible. That continued for about 2.5 months after the surgery. Pay real close attention to your body and don't do anything that causes you pain. I think the swimming option is very good and helps to reduce the risk of adhesions forming, as it's a gentle stretching motion with no impact.
