I love Amitriptyline 25mg (I can take up to 3 if needed but haven't done it yet.) At first for aout 4 days I woke up with a "hangover" my eyes didn't want to open. I even took it at 8:00pm like the dr. said. My poor hubby had a hell of a time getting me up and around. I have to tell you that it is the best medicine to help sleep through the pain. Even smoking MJ didn't keep me out all night. I think much clearer now that I get a restfull nights sleep. My skills at work were failing because I couldn't remember anything for the lack of sleep. It was REALLY REAlly bad. I think my boss thought I was doing some heavy drugs from the looks he would give me when my mind would go blank. I just explained the lack of sleep and he should be happy I'm at work. He then smiled. Anyway I take Amitriptyline at 8:00pm and sometimes I don't goto bed until 11:00pm but as soon as my head hits that pillow I'm out. I was one of those people even before all my pain that would lay in bed for hours before I would fall asleep. I love it I love it. The side effects that are listed are scary but I have only had one in the 2 months I have been on it. THIS DRUG MAY INCREASE THE NEED TO EAT SWEETS. I was never a sweet eater until now. I am truly enjoying all the leftover Christmas goodies. I hope to put on some weight.
