Katharine, I took Lupron last year and the same thing happened to me. Had a horrbile period about two weeks after my first shot. After that, I had no more periods until I stopped the Lupron and went back on my birth control pills. My Doc told me that the first couple months on Lupron could cause my body to do strange things and to "expect the unexpected". He said it can take several months for your body to adjust to no estrogen, and that initially, you will have an estrogen surge as your body prepares for the menopausal state Lupron causes. I think what you are experiencing is normal when you start Lupron. I would give it another month or so and just try to hang in there. Once I got over the initial adjustment, everything was great.
