Kristy, I had a laparoscopy. I've always had constipation problems with my endo, but didn't have the diarrhea problems (to the extent that I do now) until after my first lap (March 2001). During my second lap (November 2002), they found that I had developed adhesions that attached my right ovary to my intestines, and my appendix and intestines looked as if they were flattened with a rolling pin and glued in place. The area where the small intestine meets the large intestine was very flattened with adhesions, and they believe that is what caused my severe irritable bowel. But, my problems are slowly returning, and I suppose that's because I've been quite lax in making healthy food choices with the holidays. Also, and I'd like to kick myself for it now, I was much too active after surgery. I moved 800 miles two weeks afterwards, and had lots to do beforehand. Well, I'm suffering a bit for that now.
