Don't know what to do...From: amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Dec 23 01:43:23 2002
I ended up in the ER due to severe pain and bleeding. I found out there is a 2.5 inch mass on my right ovary. I did as told and went to Dr. the next day. He told me several options and suggested birth control pills to see how it affects what he thinks is a cyst. The lady doing ultrasound couldn't tell for sure how solid it was, she said it showed signs of echoing.(i'm learning as i go). I am 29 and have an 11yr old daughter and husband, how worried should i be and do i need to push the issue now on finding out exactly what it is? I have appt. to go back on jan. 2nd but i am a nervous wreck worrying about this. Dr. said he would do another ultrasound in a month.. i don't have insurance and i don't want that to be a factor in how little the dr.s do. thank you for any advice, Amy
