Re: Swelling Stomach

I experience the swelling too, also when I would be ovulating and when I
am on my period. (although right now I am on continuous birth control
so I am not having periods. Yeah!!!) I have always just figured it to
be water retention, as it always goes away after my period is over. But
some months, I swell so bad that I look pregnant. Have even rushed out
to get a pregnancy test thinking I was. Just hang in there as best you
can and know that you are not alone! If the swelling never goes away,
consult your ob/gyn. My sis-in-law was gaining weight and bloated all
the time and was just blaming it on getting older and too many beers and
sweets until she went to her gynecologist and mentioned it. Turned out
she had a uterine fibroid the size of a grapefruit. She ended up with a
hysterectomy but mostly because she was past child bearing age and tired
of dealing with all her female issues. Not trying to scare you but just
offering a watchout.
Good luck! Hugs!!
