Hi, It is hard to say the exact reason why you are not able to get pregnant. Endo affects fertility in a variety of ways. Lupron is something to consider for your treatment of endo. Whether Lupron actually shrinks endo tissue is up for debate. I know many doctors who feel that Lupron does in fact shrink endo tissue and their are studies showing that it does. On the other hand, there are also studies showing that it does shrink endo whatsoever. Also, I have known many women who claim that they got pregnant thanks to Lupron. However, the drug does have some nasty side effects. None are very serious, but they are still not that fun. Another one of these side effets is depression. Even though depression is not that widely reported while one is on Lupron, you might be at an increase risk of developing it since you have a history of depression. Personally, the choice to go on Lupron or not is completely up to you. Don't let the doctors, family, or friends sway you one way or another. Weigh out the pluses and minuses. You may even want to consider getting a second opinion with an endo expert (if you are interested in names of doctors email me at CAEndoSupport@aol.com and tell me where you are located. I will see if I know of any doctors in your area). Just remember that it is impossible to make a bad medical decision if it is well researched. You are researching Lupron and, therefore, whatever medical decision you make, it is the right one!! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
