Laparoscopy Recovery Period/ PONV

My doctor recently diagnosed me with endometriosis. I have to have a laparoscopy sometime in the near future, and was wondering how the recovery was? I read that gynecologic laparoscopy has a high percentage of post operative nausea and vomiting. Wouldn't that be intolerable, due to the muscle being lacerated? I know I am a "power puker" (sorry), and I will not go through with the surgery if I will be getting sick after. It hurts so bad at the best of times, let alone with a slight muscle injury. There is a tendancy to harsh anaesthetic reactions in my family. Let me know, I'm a full time student and can't afford a long recovery period, and really don't want to throw up all over my boyfriend's truck on the way home from the hospital. Can you 100% prevent PONV?? Thanks a lot ladies!!!!!! Ashli
