Re: Painful sex - no idea what! PLEASE HELP!

Liss,
I also have a tilted uterus, as well as Endo. My gyno has told me that
a tipped/tilted uterus can cause sex to be painful. This is because
when penetration occurs, if the uterus is tilted, the penis can hit the
uterus, causing pain. As I mentioned, I also have Endo which I know is
more the cause of MY painful sex, but just wanted to say that a tipped
uterus could cause pain without the woman having Endo. I hope this
makes sense. When my doc explained it to me, he drew a little pic
showing me how this could happen. It helped to see it on paper! I have
never heard if a tipped uterus can cause endo or infertility, but my Doc
has never acted concerned that I have a tipped uterus so I don't think
it is a big deal. I would just talk to your Doc about it and see what
he/she says. Hope this helps and that you find some pain relief soon.
