Hi Mindy -- Thanks for your response. I have no masses. I had a lap in
June, and luckily I have no endo on or near my repro organs. And I've
really been lucky this last month, having very little pain, except during my
period.
I'm kind of a difficult patient....I went through infertility treatments in
the early 90s and my marriage was destroyed. I kind of have a psychosis
against going through that again. I won't let my husband be tested, I won't
go for PCTs or ultrasounds. In my backward logic, I figure if I'm not
ovulating, all that is wasting my time and causing unnecessary stress and
anguish. It's a very emotional topic for me. And I did try to go to a
repro endo, but after one visit, I had kind of an anxiety attack in the
waiting room, and after that one appt, I decided it was not something I
could cope with emotionally.
So, I am kind of hoping the clomid will jumpstart my ovulation and give me
just a fair shot at naturally conceiving in the next year. If not, I plan
to give up and am working on being okay with that. But I do thank God every
day for my beautiful daughter....she was quite the surprise after my
marriage fell apart for infertility and I turned up pregnant....the timing
couldn't have been worse! LOL!!
Thanks again for your message,
Kim

obgyn/surgeon yesterday for relief. In the consult after exam, I asked if
the prescribed Metrogel or the infection itself would/could hinder fertility
if I happened to ovulate by some miracle this cycle. He said most likely
not, and then we revisited the fact that I'm not ovulating. He wrote me a
prescription for Clomid for next cycle, 5 days worth, and gave me
instructions. He told me that there is a risk it will aggravate the endo.
He doesn't think the possible effects would be longterm, but perhaps
something that would affect me for a couple of months. He also said this
isn't something he wants to try month after month. I have very sporadic
endo pain now. I have never had any endometriomas or other ovary-related
problems. I have one child, so I know that I have ovulated in the past.
But I've been using OPKs since Septembe!

rather your personal experiences with this drug.
