Hello everyone, Just thought I would let you know that I am now at home recovering from hysterectomy. It was really rough. Doc. took 2 hours to do procedure because he had to cut right ovary out in pieces to get it all out. My left ovary could not be saved as well because of large chocolate cysts attached to backside of it. Doc. said that he was able to remove endo away from colon and that was great news. He said the rest of my organs looked good. I have about 6 or 7 inch incision horizontally and he said the under layer of my abdomen is vertical to get inside of body and the outer layer is horizontal to allow for faster healing. No staples. I am bruised alot down there and not a pretty site but it will heal okay. I am taking 1 month of of work to heal and am still satisfied with my decision to have the hyst. even though I have to endure HRT. Any feedback is helpful at this point. Thanks for your support, Kathy R.
