This list is only for Endo issues and is a support group for women with Endo. If someone needs any info from a dr they have to go to where the drs are at which are: Womens-health, Pregnacy-Birth, or Young-Womens. If you have breast cancer issues you go to the breast cancer forum where drs there that work that area only are.

The other forums: Endo, PCOS, the list for women who speak Spanish called Mujer, and a Dutch list are all just support groups for the women.

And b/c of this sometimes when women are searching for info they end up on ours thinking that there are drs here on this list when they are elsewhere. Then they need to be directed to the appropriate list.

For the young woman (teenager) she needs to go to: http://forums.obgyn.net/young-women

B/c the women that are searching are expecting an answer from a dr and then when they don't get one they begin to wonder. That's why they need to be sent to one of the other lists. You can tell by the kind of message that they are sending.

I know that the rules for the Endo Forum also mention about experts coming over here to answer questions but we don't have drs that come over here to answer questions for us. I wish we did though.

In the 4 years that I have been on this list we have never had a dr answer medical questions here. We did have a dr reply one time about some posts that were sent attacking drs in general and he didn't appreciate it. He was a regular gyn. A number of the ladies replied to him at the time. This happened like about 3 years ago I think.

It would be kind of nice to have the Endo specialists come and answer questions as well but they and other drs just don't. I know this same question was asked about drs for the general PCOS forum as to why dr's aren't over there too but it's b/c like this group it's just a support group for women with the condition.
