Endo - Adhesions

Hello, I am 28 years old and this year I was diagnosed with Endo. I had my first Laproscopy in March 2002. I have had nothing but problems ever since. I had a second Laproscopy in September 2002 and was told that I had extensive adhesions and this is what would have caused the pain that I was experiencing.

About 5 weeks later, it started all over again. They have used a barrier gel and I was told that this was new to Australia and had a great reputation. I was also seeing a Naturopath and trying to take Arnica, a homeopathic healing agent - supposed to be great for helping stop scare tissue after surgery.

5 WEEKS LATER!! I went to a new specialist for a second opinion at the start of November. He said he was very concerned and said that I am too young to be having all of these problems. I have had blood tests and a MRI. All have come back fine. Which, he tells me, is good news for me.

I am having my third Laproscopy in 9 months on the 14th December. I am hoping for third time lucky as I don't think that I can take much more of this. It's just effecting my life too much. It's making life hard for my Husband, of whom I have been married to for only 10 months. He has been fantastic, but I just want to be normal.

Does this sound like a common problem? I have been told by both Doctor's that this is not common, so I am thinking that this doesn't happen a lot in Australia maybe?? What things can I try and do to minimise the reoccurance of these adhesions. I want to be able to have children one day. Please help.
