I am 38 and have had endo/adhesions etc. for 12 years. I had 2 laps already. The past 2 months have been much worse w/ 1 week of mid cycle pain, cysts rupturing (causing mid cycle bleeding & Pain) and 1 week of menstrual cramps. Therefore, 2 weeks of the month I am on Vicodin, Motrin, Tyl. w/ codeine etc. and it is seriously affecting my quality of life. I have 2 kids and I am always tired, limping, and/or miserable. I am thinking of having a 3rd lap and considering giving the doctor permission to remove my right ovary etc. if it looks bad since I always have my pain on the right side. Does anyone have any idea how this will affect recovery time and whether this would change my hormone levels where I would go through some sort of menopause? I know I would have the left ovary but does that cut hormone levels in half or does the other side make up for it? Any opinions on this would be appreciated.
