endo pain - narcotics

Hi, I am 21 years old and began dealing with endo when i was 19. I had my second surgery this past august and aparently all the endo (there wasn't much of it) was removed... but i have been in terrible pain since late september. My doctor gave me a Rx for demerol (about 20 pills) and while it worked well, he refuses to give me any more for fear that i will get addicted. While i completely understand his point, when the pain gets to its peak, my pain killers don't come close to doing th job. He doesn't seem to understand that I'm not taking these drugs for fun, I wouldn't take them if i didn't absolutely need them and now i'm going insane because nothing will make this pain go away. I'm going to start to go to the pain treatment center at my hospital, but the wait list is rediculous... and i hurt, i need relief NOW. I feel like i have to justify that my pain is really as bad as it is to everyone... it would be nice to know that i'm not alone...
