Hydrodistension is a kind of test that urologists do as part of the diagnostic work up especially along with cystoscopy to check for a condition called Interstitial Cystitis. What they do is to fill the bladder as full as they can with water or some other solution like saline so that they can check for ulcerated areas or bleeding of the bladder wall on the inside. If they find these things it means that the woman has Interstitial Cystitis.

I'm sorry that the dr didn't listen to you. I hope you are able to go to another one and soon. And one that will listen to you.
