scar tissue encroaching on bladder?From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Nov 17 20:27:43 2002
I had a laporotomy 2 years ago, the second of two surgeries, to remove an 8 mm. "chocolate cyst" / endo tissue from my left ovary. My doctor had recommended a laporotomy because of the size of the cyst, and thus the incision was much larger than what would have been with a laporoscopy. Since my second surgery, particularly within the last year, I have noticed that my bladder seems to feel much fuller than it used to, and often when I urinate, I feel pain in the general area of my ovary that had the surgery, almost as though it is "pulling" on the ovary or scar tissue that might have grown in that area. My theory is that there is scar tissue in that general area from my past 2 surgeries, and thus the pain /full bladder feeling is related to that. Has anyone experienced these symptoms or does anyone know about the possibility of scar tissue growing near / around the bladder? At my last endo check, they did not feel anything, so I don't think I have another cyst.
