Hi Kim,

Huge HUgs to you...... I have endo for 22 years now....yes it is sometimes hard to get on with it, especially, when you have been in good hands and have to look for a (or more)new doctor. I move country nearly 3 years ago....and where I am now...I am very concerned how to handle my disease here.....I haven't found support on medical side at all yet. Lucky for me....I still can go back, to my old doctor.(even when it's a 10 hour travel)..even when no insurance does pay for it, but this money is for my health and not something unnessecary. So I don't mind spending it (even when I hate the fact that I have to pay for two insurances with no claim possibility).

And your other question UTI's and endo....there are many reasons why endowomen are more likely to get UTI's than others. Even all the precaution doesn't help the factor, that the vagina (and usually the urethra ends in there)gets infected much easier and more frequent, than in healthy women. And Vaginal infects cause often Uti's secondary. The other thing is, that many endosufferers have trouble with their clearance. That means, that even when you drink much water (min 2l a day !) it often doesn't come out your system unobstructed or in full dialution....so you are more likely to get an infection. An other thing is....if you had one infection....the next one comes easier....for lots of reasons as well. There are lots of endowomen out there, suffer regular Uti's...... Hope that helps you a bit further....It probably won't give you any relieve, but I hope you will find someone who takes good care of you. That you might havn't to suffer these much infectios any more. Because there are several stabilizing therapies out there , which can help you. I will be no help in this direction for you...sorry, because I am on the other side of the world...so many things are different. But I hope you get some help in dealing with it.

Lots of Anglhugs Sybille
