Re: Adomen pains in third world country

Strange similarity, I realize I just posted but I was reading this letter and thinking about the fact that this whole situation went down only 2 weeks after I returned to the states from a third world country. As I mentioned in the email I posted not 5 minutes ago I also had two strange and now, seemingly unrelated issues - the white count and the possible endo.

The one thing I didn't mention and was reminded of by your letter was that I have a cyst as well on my right ovary where the pain is. It has been there for 3 months now as opposed to disappearing with each cycle. My pain on that side (none on the left) does not sound any where near as severe as yours but it does occasionally double me over. It comes and goes like a needle poking my ovary but not in any particular schedule. If your doctors were anything like mine they wanted to blame it on the traveling. My entire staff at my school was convinced I had gotten something horrible in that third world country. I almost felt a "that's what you get for doing those crazy things and taking risks" type of attitude. That is all for now. Please write if you find out anything as it may shed some light on my situation as well. Hope you are feeling better! Berandette

Has anyone mentioned to you possible exposure to high levels of dioxin in that country which can bring on endo even in small amounts? I am reading and researching on it? Please let me know if you have heard anything about this possiblity.
