Re: Going to the doc in a few hours, need some suggestions please! From: Annie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Nov 4 13:48:22 2002
OK, this is what I have so far... Any additions would be appreciated :) 1. Will the pill be taken continuously, without taking the placebo pills? If so, will my periods stop? 2. At what point in my cycle should I start taking the pill? 3. Will the pill help decrease the symptoms of the endometriosis? I.e., pain. If so, how long should it take, and how much is it expected to help? 4. After I am done having children, what are my treatment options? If I choose the pill, would I stay on it continuously until menopause? 5. My main concern is preserving my fertility at this point, with pain management 2nd. Would you suggest trying to get pregnant sooner or later? 6. Could the endometriosis have been a cause for the miscarriage I had in August? 7. Will my future pregnancies be treated any differently with the diagnosis of endometriosis and history of miscarriage? 8. What type of doctor would be best to treat/see me for long term? Ob/gyn? RE? Ob/gyn specializing in endometriosis? Is there any one you would suggest? 9. What steps can be taken if I am having a hard time getting pregnant? How many months of not achieving pregnancy do I need to wait before pursuing treatment? 10. Can I continue taking the Tylenol 3 (it is what works best for my pain)? If so, can you refill the prescription you gave me before?
