ANOTHER surgery...:(

Well I met with my new doctor on Monday...he is wonderful! He knows about endo - he asked me questions that no other doctor has bothered to ask and did not try to tell me that having a baby or having surgery would cure me. Anyway, due to the amoutn of pain I have been in the past few months we decided that another surgery was my best option...the only problem is he doesn't feel comfortable doing a laproscopic surgery on me - he said the amount of scar tissue I have around my bowels and belly button would put me at risk for problems so he would prefer to do a laprotomy. This isn't what I wanted to hear but I guess its better than risking serious complications - I've been through this surgery before so I know what to expect but OUCH! It is so much harder for me to recover! He thinks I should be out of work for about 3 weeks - not too bad - but I'm sure that my boss will have some nice comments for me.

Anyway, I just needed to share the info - my surgery will be the first week of December (hopefully) - he called me this morning to answer some questions I had faxed to him earlier this week and we discussed surgery and decided to set it up. I'll know for sure early next week about the date - he wants one of his partners to assist in the surgery because he thinks I am a mess inside and wants to sets of eyes to search for the nasty disease.

Wishing you all pain free days!
