Angela -- Find a new dr. That's my first suggestion. There are drs out there who understand that the battle is chronic, with good days and bad days. To get some immediate, but TEMPORARY, relief, you might try ibuprofen. I know a lot of us think that if narcotics won't work, OTC doesn't stand a chance. However, I get my best relief from plain old advil. Problem is, you have to take 800-1200 mgs every 4-6 hours. I did this for over a year, and now my stomach literally burns when I pop an advil. But you might try it just until you can find a different dr or a pain mgmt. specialist. I hope you find some relief. Perhaps someone on the list can offer an alternate physician if you can tell us where you are.
