Re: Bleeding during sex?

Lisa, I think that bleeding during sex is a definite symptom of endo. On most occasions, I either bleed during intercourse or find myself bleeding after. I have been diagnosed with endo for almost eight years now and this has always been the case. In fact, bleeding during intercourse was one of the first signs I experienced prior to diagnosis. I also experience pain during or after-sometimes for days after intercourse. My poor hubby just takes it all with a grain of salt, thank goodness!

I would go back to your Doc and insist on a laparoscopy if he/she thinks you have endo. A lap is the only way to truly diagnose it. Once it has been diagnosed (if it is and all other serious problems are ruled out) you will have much peace of mind and can begin some kind of treatment regimen with your Doc. Scar tissue and endo adhesions can be removed during a lap, which often will provide relief of the endo symptoms for awhile. Just hang in there and if you ever need a shoulder, please email me directly. This dreaded disease doesn't seem to be so bad when you know you are not in it alone.
