Re: How Do They Know That a Cyst IS a Cyst?

An ultra sound will give some indication as to what type of cyst it may be. If it has fluid in, then they tend to wait and see......I have been going through this for a terribly long time myself! However, do not let them wait too long, If a cyst does not go away within approx 6 weeks, I would be asking some questions. I had to ask my own gyne how he knew for sure it would not be cancer etc. He was oh so confident, finally they had to go in, and the cyst was a pre cancerous cyst, however, they left my ovary, and I am not pleased with that, as i get them steady........Keep me posted please, and good luck to you........
