Kimmy, Hiya hon!! Ummm, I think it was totally wrong of the doctor not to even discuss endo with you!! That's just crazy.. Not every woman that takes Lupron has remission of symptoms!! That's why it's not a definitive treatment!! Your bladder is apparently causing some problems.. Honestly I could not tell the difference between the pain from IC and the endo pain.. The only difference I knew for sure was from my bladder was that it would cause pelvic pain, sometimes severe, when my bladder was full and during/after peeing. A cystoscope is really a simple procedure. One warning though, some urologists want to do this in their office.. DO NOT let that happen. Tell them that you want it in the hospital if they want it in the office. If they do it in the office, you don't have the comfort of the meds they give you at the hospital and if they find anything abnormal (while in the office) they will have to reschedule you to do it in the hospital anyway. They usually take an ultrasound of your bladder and kidneys when bladder if full and empty before the procedure. They may also want to do a hydrodystention, which is basically just testing how much your bladder will hold. You do have burning after the procedure when you urinate, but the doctor should give you something for that. I think it's a VERY good idea to see the urologist, and you might try another endo doctor also.. If you want to email me and let me know where you live, I will try to help you find one that is recommended by other women with endo. If you have any questions or anything, you can email me anytime. I will respond faster to personal emails.. :) Take care of yourself hon, and if you need anything, just holler :) Love and Prayers,
