Re: Bowel Problems, Adhesions, Swelling - Can Anyone Relate?

Barb,
I too have a lot of the symptoms you describe. With my first lap 7
years ago, the doc found that my uterus and part of my bowel were stuck
together and he did his best to "free" everything up. My most current
lap in 2000 still shows some problem areas on my bowel, but since that
is a tricky area, the doc left it alone. I always have loose stools
while on my period and sometimes my bowel area hurts so bad that I can
barely sit down due to the pressure, and having a BM is excrutiating.
Also have lots of upset stomachs, but Tums or Rolaids usually help. I
also get quite a bit of swelling as well. I have found that a good dose
of Ibuprofen (800 MG) and sitting or laying on a heating pad seems to
help. I know quite a few women with endo, and it seems like bowel
problems are very common. Hope some of this helps. If nothing else, it
always helps me to know I am not alone in my battle! Hang in there...
