Re: A Decision to makeFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Oct 22 15:39:15 2002
Kira, I would go ahead and have the surgery for the sake of peace of mind. Also, if you are suspecting that you have Endo or your dr is laparoscopy is the only way to definitively diagnose it. It is very common for a woman that has never had surgery of any kind to be nervous about having surgery but I know that I've heard other first-timers say that they were glad that they had it done. As the dr told you everyone is different. Also, if you do have surgery it can take up to 4 months to get rid of post-op pain and that is b/c of the amount of work that may be involved. Where do you live hun? Feel free to e-mail me privately any time. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
