Re: Post Hysterectomy Endometriosis - Rhonda and LindaFrom: Amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Oct 21 17:36:52 2002
Rhonda and Linda: First, Linda... Please find a new doctor.. If she is too busy to answer your questions, you don't need to see her, you need to find a better doctor that will treat you properly and that will actually listen to you. Sometimes the doctors will prescribe Lupron after surgery to shrink the endo that they may have missed, and if your doctor isn't experienced in endo, that could be alot of endo left behind. If you need help finding a doctor, I will try to help the best I can, just email me and let me know. BTW is hysterectomy is NOT a cure, as you can tell by Rhonda's story. Rhonda, I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with this. I haven't had a hysterectomy, so I'm not sure what to tell you. If you would like to, you can go to the ERC's online support group (it has over 1400 members) and ask the women there. I know that quite a few of them have had a hysterectomy and are still seeking treatment because of the pain. The addy for that group is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/erc/ I wish that I could help you, but I have no idea how they will treat endo after a hysterectomy.. So far from what I've read, it's along the same treatments as women who haven't had a hyst.. But I'm sure the women there will be able to help you. If either of you need anything, feel free to email me anytime. Take care angels. Love and Prayers, Amanda
