Amanda and Sybille, Thank you for your support. First of all I had no idea that I had endo. inside of me and to the later stages that it is in at this point in time. It was a great shock to me to be told I had it let alone how bad it was. The doctor said that my whole rt. ovary is encast in the endo where he could not even view it. He did not even know if the rt. ovary is functional. I have had many paps and pelvic exams throughout the years and only a few times I had cysts on my ovaries but they went away and now I have a small fibroid on my uterus but doc. said that my last 5 years of intense pain before and right on my first day of my period was obviously from the endo and not the fibroid. My uterus and fallobian tube rt. is huge-covered in it as well. Doc is going to try and save the left ovary and fallobian tube if possible. What concerns me the most is the colon which is surround with endo and do said he will have another sugereon in there to assist him with that. I am recovering from my lap 12 days ago and that went well. My rt. ovary hurts alittle everyday but that is from the endo-at least that is what doc. said. I am is basic shock of it all but at this point I don't have many options. I could of stuck out the pain for the next 10 years until natural menopause but yeck I am scared to wait 10 years and for the tissue to get cancer. That was my defining reason to have a partial hyst. Not too much info available on endomentrial tissue remaining in female after 15 years. Doc said just yesterday I might of had endo for that long. Also I have a tilted uterus and had my appendix removed 20 years ago-might be transplanted endo from that surgery. Thanks everyone- Anyone please provide the new book title on endo available at the Endo Association. I guess now I have to join all the endo groups out there. Hope everyone has a painless day!
