LAP for ENDO soon...but is it needed?

For over a year now, I've been fighting weird symptoms (urinary frequency, urgency, pain after sex, low back pain, taking antibiotics for what they thought it was "UTI")...etc...and now the GYNO thinks I may ENDO and would like to do a lap on me in early November! I'm thinking it may be a little soon to have this kind of mini operation taking place? I'm 37 yrs old and been on the BCP for the last 16 years or so...Do Doctors just jump into lap surgery that quickly? I'm just worried that he will do more harm than good going in there with instruments!! What do you think and what's your experience out there???
