Hi Anon -- I do believe it's possible to have back pain during periods that is not endo related. Based on what my chiro tells me, during that time of month you retain water which causes inflammation in the pelvic region and that can irritate nerves that affect the spinal column and the pain then presents itself in the back. I have endo, and I have back pain, especially during my period. The chiro is not convinced that endo is "on" anything causing the pain, just that the constant inflammation of the nerves is causing it. So endo is not always a culprit. I've had great luck with the chiro. My back pain came on suddenly 3 years ago, with no identifiable accident or injury. I didn't find out about the endo until recently. -- Kim
