Hang in there Rowan!From: Rob (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Oct 8 11:58:48 2002
Hi my name is Linda, Like you I had problems with my period since I started on my 14th birthday.... What a gift EH! Anyway sometimes I would get up with an urgency to go to the bathroom and after sitting there for what seems for ever I would finally start and so would my period. Ended up at an emergency room once and the nurse thought I was loosing a baby ( I was still a virgin ) so then the Dr. said that Nature would take its course... What is that??? Anyway I am now 37 and have two son 5 and 3. Never had any symptoms since a few years ago my lower back really started to bother me and then started to have problems going to the bathroom again. Went to see a Urologists and after numerous testing said there was nothing wrong. Then was asked if I was ever checked for Endo. One year later had problem with my bowel, diarrhea and mucous blood. Was sent to a surgeon who did a upper and lower GI endoscopies to revile nothing. He also asked me if I was ever checked for Endo. Then the pain with and after intercourse started and it feels like the urine flow sometimes is really slow even when I need to go real bad. I was diagnosed with endo last March after a Laparoscopy the Ob/Gyn did take pictures of the endo spots but didn't remove them??? I was told by another surgeon that the Laser was probably not available. I was put on Dep-provera for six mths with not relief. Now I am seeing another OB/Gyn that wants to do a Laser/Lap... But now that I'm seeing a Chiro for my lower back pain. Like you it felt like bruised when touch. Sitting was unbearable sometimes I had a hard time getting out of the car or walk. The Chiro seems to think that it isn't endo related... Hopefully not, because other than spotting a week before and after my period the pain with sex ( which depends on the position ) and the left abdominal pain I think I can l live with but the lower back pain was the worst.... for me, something I could not live with. Hope this helps and that you are able to find a good Chiro in your area. If anyone knows of a good Endo Ob. Gyn in my area please let me know ( My area being between Grand Rapids and Traverse City Michigan)
