Re: Can ENDO appear suddenly in your mid 30s?From: D.N. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Sep 29 22:19:17 2002
Hi, I was 36 at the time of my hyst for fibroids. Endo was suspected, but at the time of my surgery was confirmed. It was quite severe on the left side. However, most of my pain was on the right side - go figure. Have you ever had a laparascopy? That would be the only way to tell if you have endo. It does not show up via US. It wouldn't just show up in your 30's, it would have started slowly and gotten worse over time. I assume you have been on the pill -using it in the traditional way? For endo, it is often used on a continous basis so you don't ovulate or have periods. I had another surgery to have my remaining ovary removed, but they didn't get it all out, so I have ovarian remnant syndrome and still have endo. I ovulate and have cycles, although it is changing because I am perimenopausal. I have been having more problems with back/hip pain recently. I have wondered if the two are related. Sometimes my lower back into the tailbone just aches. I know I have sciatica too. Perhaps that is what you have and why you can't drive for very long. Do you have any numbness going down your leg on the outside? Does it go into your ankle or foot? If so, that is sciatica. I hope this info helps. If you have more questions, let me know. Best wishes, D.N.
