Hey - I'm was a left sider too! What you explain is what I experienced
only they took my right healthy ovary, uterus and cervix also - a case
of misinformed consent. Basically the ob/gyn only removed the female
organs and neglected the majority of endo. I did require additional
surgery - this time with a specialist.
I doubt that a GI doctor can really help and I doubt that if your doctor
was in there and did not perform the resection you truly needed he would
be able to in the future. Regardless of whether it's endo or adhesions
or a combination of both, the situation is very painful and very real. I
just don't like the idea of you getting the run-around and having to
prove your own pain and symptoms.
