Re: endo of bowelFrom: suzanne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Sep 27 20:12:20 2002
Hey - I'm was a left sider too! What you explain is what I experienced only they took my right healthy ovary, uterus and cervix also - a case of misinformed consent. Basically the ob/gyn only removed the female organs and neglected the majority of endo. I did require additional surgery - this time with a specialist. I doubt that a GI doctor can really help and I doubt that if your doctor was in there and did not perform the resection you truly needed he would be able to in the future. Regardless of whether it's endo or adhesions or a combination of both, the situation is very painful and very real. I just don't like the idea of you getting the run-around and having to prove your own pain and symptoms. suzanne
