D.N., If these actresses were really going to do a lot to help us they would be going before congress to help us get the word out but they aren't. The reason they won't talk about it to the public and to congress is b/c when it comes to the reproductive system (not breasts of course) is b/c it's embarrassing. Also, if they did they would lose out on jobs that could possibly help their career. Susan Sarandon did talk about her Endo while on The View but the problem was that she told them that she was cured or something like that. So that might be why she gets parts. The same might apply to the other actresses that have it. I got the other names from having talked to some of the other women on this list when we have talked about celebrities with endo as well as on some other endo lists. Also, I've never heard it said that Mary Joe Fernandez ever made it known to the public that she had endo. I know that there was an article in the paper a few years ago where she did become a spokesperson for EA but it didn't say anything about her having Endo. I know that Karen Duffy admitted to I think the New York Times (in fact I think that's right) that she had endo too but I can't remember if she too had said that she was cured. Also, I have an idea for writing that might work (key phrase). If you go to the website for Entertainment Tonight in the middle section of their homepage is a section on how to write to a lady by the name of Maria. I don't remember her last name right now but she has a lot of access to celebs so maybe we should write to her to see about finding out how to get one of them to be a spokesperson for us. Only thing too that I'm concerned about is just how having a celebrity spokesperson is going to help us when most of them are more interested in talking about cancer and AIDS for example. I tried to write to this lady but had a problem with the form coming up so that I could see the bottom of it to finish sending the post I wanted to send.
