Unable to Preform Laparoscopy: Insight?

On August 8th, I was scheduled for a diagnostic laparoscopy to confirm if had endometriosis. Everything was normal, and my doctor even said I was a prime candidate for the laparocopy. However, it turns out I was not. In recovery my doctor informed me that he was unable to complete the surgery because of excessive internal scarring from my appendix. I was disapointed, and scheduled to see him a month later. However, at that appointment, the doctor said that the reason he could not preform the opperation was because of my "weight". He also indicated that this was the first time this has ever happened to him, and that he has done 8,000 of these surgeries. He told me two different stories. I am not a huge person, I admit, I have some excess, but nothing more than the aberage overweight person. I don't understand how I am the only person he's had trouble with, if it was because of my "weight". Is there any insight you could help to provide me with? I am scheduled for a laparotomy in December. (I am only 19)
