Re: Why Do I Get Pain Every Time I Ovulate?From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Sep 26 17:35:48 2002
Okay, this is how I understood what my doctor explained to me: First, your ovaries develop the egg, and the fallopian tubes sort of "hover" or wave around over the ovaries to grab the egg to send it down the tube for potential fertilization. If you have endo, and it has "tied down" or covered the fallopian tube so that it can't move so well, then it is "straining" to move and can't. So, it hurts. Mine was consistent in that my left side really, really hurt -- the right side wasn't so bad. The lap explained it -- (the left fallopian tube was glued to the side of my abdominal cavity, thanks to the endo!), where as the right one was just starting to get covered. Two Aleve pills are my drug of choice!
