Re: The return of menstruation after Lupron...From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Sep 24 11:24:58 2002
You need to contact your doctor. I was put on lupron(post surgery), and did not resume my periods for 3 months. My doctor then put me on medication to bring on my periods. it still took another month. My experience with lupron was not good. 3 months after my first period I was back in the emergency room. they found very large chocolate cyst, and I was schedules for another surgery. My new doctor told me that someone using lupron, with sever endo, is like beating it in the head with a hammer. He feels it helps someone with mild to moderate endo, but is a waste for sever endo patients. I would advise you to conact your doctor and if you have had cyst in the past ask him to do a sonogram.
