Adenomyosis

Hi I am 26 years old and have had chronic pelvic pain since I was 15. Although I started having children at age 18 all the doctors diagnosed it as "well just to much to handle for your body and it will eventually go away" well recently I was hospitalized for the severe pain. A new doctor took on my care and he is wonderful. After several months he decided to do diagnostic laproscopic to see exaclty what the problem was. Last Monday I was told it was Adenmyosis (sp). We have decided together to do a vaginal hysterectomy and leave my ovaries. I am wondering if this is a procedure that is known to take away the pain or if the chances are still very high that it will still persist. I am a mother of four and have lived with so much pain that at this point I am willing to do anything to try to solve the problem. I would like all the information I can find on this "disease" if you could send me something it would be greatly appreciated.
