To know whether it's endo, they have to do a lap. And how will you know what your options are and which one to choose if you don't know what you have? And just so you know, I think we all go through the "what if it's all in my head and they find nothing and it just proves I'm a nut case" syndrome. While in pre-op, I was a nervous wreck. My dr thought it was because I was afraid of surgery -- I told him I was afraid he would find nothing and I'd still be in pain with no reason for it. He leaned over real close to me and said "If we don't find anything today, we will keep looking for what's causing you pain until we find it. Okay?" Find yourself a good caring dr who will take care of you physically and emotionally and who isn't afraid of a challenge.
