It is really up to you, but the only way to diagnose Enodmetriosis is by a Lap.

A few suggestions, based on my experiences. Please make sure your doctor is experienced in treating endo. Should he/she find it, what will be there means of removing the disease.....laser, excision, both. Excision is preferred and gives the best results. Before I knew better, my first doc told me she would remove what she could and put me on Lupron to get rid of the rest.....didn't work! The disease needs to be removed entirely through surgery.

Please do your research before having the surgery. Here are a few sites that will help you gain more knowlegde about endo:

http://www.endometriosisassn.org/

http://www.obgyn.net/endo/endo.asp

http://www.endometriosistreatment.org/

The following two, I don't frequent as often so I am not 100% sure of the content. The prior 3 I do frequent and trust the information.

http://www.endocenter.org/

Learn as much as you can before going ahead with the lap!

Best wishes, Mindy
