Personally, I think having sex during your period is kind of gross, unless it is at the very end. Secondly, I don't really buy what the article states. For me, until I had my 2nd lap, tampons had become too uncomfortable to use. I would think that is what most people use during their periods anyway (unless the endo made you stop using them)so I don't think that lessens their chance of getting the disease. Also, it has been documented (I think it was by autopsys)that there were infants who had the this endometrial tissue in their pelvic cavity..which would indicate the disease was present from birth.
