I'm wondering if anyone has bloody stools during her menstrual periods? I recently noticed dark red blood in my stools, and bowel movements during menstrual periods are very painful -- lots of rectal and pelvic pain. Is this just because it's a messy time anyway, or is this something I should see my doctor about? I admit that I haven't seen him in a few years and have been experiencing a come-back of symptoms for about a year, plus left-sided pain and irregular bleeding, so I wondered if the bloody stools that I've recently noticed are also a part of it.
