Re: Has Anyone Had Surgery With an Endo Specialist? From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Sep 7 02:12:48 2002
Many have traveled (when they haven't a specialist in town) to have surgery with the specialists. The reason you aren't getting tons of response is because those that have had surgery with the specialists often leave the forums because they are no longer living in a world of pain searching for answers in hope of finding relief! This is not to say that all are relieved of pain after having surgery with a specialist, but many are! Also, many of us with endo also have other problems going on of which we may not be aware -- for example, interstitial cystitis; food allergies; etc.. Changes in dietary habits are also helpful. Staying away from all dairy, citric acid, phytoestrogens, excess caffeine, chocolate, etc., proves to be extremely helpful for many. I've had surgery with the specialists and am very happy I did (I had previously had surgery with a non-specialist (general ob-gyn) and that was a big mistake. Mindy still comes to the forum now and then. She had surgery with Redwine and is very pleased with the results. People travel from all over the country/world to have surgery with specialists like Redwine, Reich, Koh, Albee, etc.. You don't mention where you live but maybe one of the specialists on the following website is located in a city near you. http://www.womenssurgerygroup.com http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Spa/8509/endokit.html
