Re: conceiving- any stories on how long it took you ?

I tried to get pregnant for 3 years and after my last lap I got pregnant within 5 months (I miscarried though).

You said your doctor will laser the endo? I had laser and it was not effective and it didn't remove the disease. I had my second surgery with Dr. R in Bend Oregon and he excised the endo......that was in May 2001 and I haven't had any problems since. From what I have read and heard from the top specialists, when you excise, you continue to cut until you see good tissue. You can't do that with a laser thus deeply penetrated endo might be left behind.

Just a suggestion based on my prior experience, I would look for an experienced endo surgeon who removes the disease by excision. I was also told my chances of pregnancy were extremely high after being cleaned out.....was true!

Best wishes to you!
