Re: Confused - If Lupron Is Not a Solution - Why Does Anyone Take It?

The only way I can possibly understand why people take it is based on my own personal experience. I trusted my doctor that she was providing me with the best treatment post op. I had not done enough research to fully understand the best way to eradicate this disease. People told me not to take it, but I did anyways. So I never think bad of anyone who decide to take it despite all the bad things they hear. They trust their docs. I, on the otherhand, having taken it and know it does not work, question everything now! I do my homework prior to any treatment for anything. I am sure those who take it and have a similar experience will feel the same later.

I know now that my original doc did not know how to treat the disease. It should have been completely removed, but instead she took what she had time for and put me on lupron saying that it would shrink the remaining disease....WRONG!!! I just hope that people really look into all options and question their doctors expertese in treating endo.......
